Mark joins us from KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science & Technology) in Saudi Arabia where he was the Associate Vice President of Technologies and Special Projects, managing a $1bn+ portfolio of projects focusing on diverse innovative technologies ranging from autonomous transport to clean tech.

Mark has extensive experience, spanning engineering and technical leadership roles across an impressive range of industries. Having started his career in aerospace and then high performance automotive (McLaren Racing, Red Bull, Williams F1), his professional progression includes senior engineering & leadership roles at Innovate UK, Artemis Technologies, Belfast City Council and NATS.

Mark was born and raised in Bangor. While he has built an impressive career in the UK and abroad, he is deeply rooted and extensively connected with the Northern Irish and British business eco-systems.

Mark holds both a BEng and PhD in Aeronautical Engineering from Queen's University, Belfast. He is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and a Chartered Engineer.
