Steve Berry

Steve Berry's experience in corporate finance ranges from early stage to providing growth capital. He started his career at Bankers Trust and worked in the capital and securities market in NY, Tokyo and London. This period in investment banking was followed by a career in venture capital, a focus retained to the present day.
Having been involved in starting up of more than 15 companies, Steve holds several executive and non-executive directorships, including Unison Capital Holdings, one of Japan’s largest private equity companies; and Waterbridge Capital, a London based venture capital firm with a portfolio of small cap companies in digital media, telecommunications, and cyber security. Based on his experience in building several organisations in the secure telecommunications and tactical intelligence space, he is currently focusing mainly on cyber security and quantum related technology companies.
An avid supporter of entrepreneurship and angel investing, he founded Dorset Business Angels (named new Business Angel network of the year) and recently founded InvestSouth with the mission to mentor, invest and help grow early stage companies on the South Coast, UK.
In line with his interest in cyber security, Steve sits on the NATO Industry Cyber Partnership Boards, as well as on the Board of the TechUK Cyber Group.
Steve has lived and worked in a number of countries, including the US, Japan and the United Kingdom. He currently lives and works in London. He gained an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1979, and a BSc in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1976.
